Every 30 minutes there is a free ferry service between Battery Park and Staten Island. It was designed for workers who live on the island but work in Manhattan and it has become a very popular tourist attraction as there are many things to see, such as the Garibaldi Mucci museum or the Staten Island Museum which explains the history of the island. There is also a zoo, children’s museum, Botanic Garden and esplanade.

You can also visit the Historic Richmond Town where you can discover what American life is like today and what it was like during the colonial period. This town covers 25 acres and has 15 restored buildings which are used as houses, shops and a museum.
