Located in the very heart of Manhattan, this complex has 19 skyscrapers and gardens and covers around 10 acres. The most famous building in the Rockefeller Center is probably the GE Building, renowned for its architecture and because it is the main office for the TV channel NBC and the multinational electricity company, Electricity General. The Rockefeller Center was built during the economic depression following the Wall Street Crash of 1929 and it was opened in 1939.
