London has a temperate climate with cool summers and cold winters; however, it does not usually fall below freezing. Showers are usual all year round and it sometimes snows in the winter.

The warmest months are July and August with an average temperature between 13.6C and 22.8C, sometimes rising to 30C. The summer days are usually long due to London’s northern latitude. Winter days are shorter and often foggy with low cloud. In general, the weather in London and Britain is very changeable and difficult to predict.
