Queen Victoria was born in Kensington Palace and Princess Diana lived there between 1981 and 1997. The Palace is open to visitors today and it is still used as offices and private apartments belonging to the Royal Family.

A guided tour of the palace allows you to see the Victorian rooms and their furniture, family portraits and the royal collection of paintings and art works. Kensington also hosts the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, a permanent collection that includes outfits belonging to the Royal Family which date from the 18th century to the present day. Other highlights that are not to be missed are the Orangery and the Sunken Garden.
