Holyrood park

The Scottish Edinburgh Parliament was built in 1998 and was designed by the Catalan architect Enric Miralles. The parliament is a must-see attraction for people who are interested in contemporary architecture as it is a modern building with a glass roof situated in Holyrood Park. It is also well worth a visit if you are interested in politics, and you can even assist a parliamentary session. There are guided tours of the building which show the semicircular Parliamentary Chamber with oak tables and roof and wooden beams in the executive room and the lobby.
