Ratchadamnoen Nok Road,

Thai Boxing is one of the most popular sports in Thailand, especially in Bangkok. This type of boxing is considered the traditional martial art of the country and it is practised using the hands, feet, knees and elbows.

If you like Thai Boxing or if you are interested in finding out about it, you should go and see one of the daily fights at Ratchadamnoen Stadium which was opened in 1945 and was the first boxing stadium in the city, or in Lumphini Stadium.

Although it is very similar to boxing, the techniques employed in the sport are different. It is quite spectacular to watch this sport in which components fight using the extremities of their body and wearing the special head garment known as the Mongkon and the Papirachat which is a good luck charm tied around the boxer’s arms.
