Lake Geneva, also known as Lake LĂ©man is the second largest freshwater lake in Central Europe and is a popular holiday destination for those who like water sports, sunbathing or recreational activities.

One of the most striking features you can see in the lake is Jet d’Eau which is a famous landmark in Geneva. Being one of the largest fountains in the world shooting up to 140m into the air, it is not surprising that it forms part of the city’s skyline.

Many people also like to walk by the lake as there are promenades up the left and right banks of the lake which are lined with restaurants, cafes and bars. This is where you will find some of the best restaurants in the city, with great food and wonderful views of the lake and the Alps. Another popular tourist attraction at the lake is Flower Clock in the English Garden. It is found on the eastern bank of the lake and is a tribute to the watch industry in Geneva.
