Rue Jean-Calvin 10

Founded in 1977 in the Old Town in Geneva is the Barbier-Mueller Museum which hosts a collection of objects belonging to Josef Mueller and Jean Paul Barbier. These two men travelled around the world and compiled a collection of objects and art which they found in so-called ‘primitive’ societies.

The museum is home to over 7,000 objects, masks, statues, sculptures and other artefacts from South America, Africa, the Pacific and South East Asia. This is one of the most interesting museums you can visit as you are guaranteed to find it truly original.
