The best way of getting to Stockholm is by air as the city has an international airport and two secondary airports.

Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is around 25 miles north of the city and is the international airport in Stockholm. Bromma Airport is 5 miles from the city and operates mainly domestic flights. Skvasta Airport offers national and international routes and is 62 miles from Stockholm.

To travel from the airport to the city centre there is a regular bus service called Flybussarna which connects the two destinations in only 5 to 10 minutes. There is also a special train service called Arlanda Express which makes the connection.

Ferry is another practical method of travelling between Stockholm and its neighbouring countries. Ships and ferries carrying cars and passengers berth in the port which is near the city centre.

Alternatively, Swebus and Eurolines are the two main bus companies which operate from Stockholm and connect it with other cities and countries.

Public Transport
