The Calas de Mallorca or the Majorcan Coves are a series of small inlets in the south of Majorca, about 44 miles from Palma, between Porto Cristo and Porto Colom. The area is a purpose-built family resort with hotels, restaurants and bars and is renowned as being a relaxed, quiet area, ideal for family holidays.

There are three small coves along the coast of the resort, Cala Atena, Cala Domingos Grans and Cala Domingos Petis. These beaches are the best place to go if you want to escape the crowded beaches and to swim in clean, crystal clear water. Like most other beaches there are areas where you can do sport, hire a pedalo and kiosks where you can have drink and relax.

It is a picturesque area which is one of the nicest places you could visit for the day; however getting there is not easy as there are lots of winding roads. Stop off at Porto Cristo and Porto Colom along the way and see two beautiful fishing ports.
