Calle Príncipe 25
Madrid

Typical Spanish plays and comedies are performed in the Teatro Español which is a theatre located in the city centre in a 16th century building. The theatre is a replica of the former Spanish theatre "Corrala de comedias" which was located in the courtyard of a 16th century building and was used for comedies. The first performance held in the Teatro Español was in 1583 and so it is considered to be the oldest theatre in Spain.
