Puerta de Europa is an example of modern architecture in Madrid and a new feature in the city skyline. Two inclined towers which give the appearance of a futuristic door resulted in the name Puerta de Europa, which is located in the Paseo de la Castellana. Both buildings measure 115 metres and have 24 floors with offices and a heliport on the roof. The buildings are popularly known as the Kio Towers and were designed by a team of North American architects in 1990. The fa├žades are made of glass, aluminium, and stainless steel.
