Airport

If you are travelling to Ibiza by air, you will probably arrive into Ibiza Airport, also known as San Jordi, which is located 4 miles from the centre of Ibiza Town, the capital of the island. The bus company Ibiza, Ibizabus.com, bus number 10 covers the route between the airport and the city and runs every half an hour during the summer between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., and every hour during the winter between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. There are also taxis available outside the terminal. The journey takes about 20 minutes and usually costs between € 10 and €14.

Public Transport

There are various bus companies in Ibiza which connect the different towns and cities on the island and are the best way to travel if you do not want to hire a car.

The main bus company which connects Ibiza Town with San Antonio and San Rafael is Ibizabus.com and you can consult their website for a full timetable. Between May and October there is a night service which runs every hour. There is also a DiscoBus which offers a service for the party goers.

For those who like sailing, you can hire a yacht or a sailing ship to discover the nicest parts of the Pitiusas Islands.

Ibiza also has a tourist train which makes discovering the island great fun and easy and it is ideal for families. The Ibiza-Express offers various routes around the island such as San Carlos and the beaches, as well as a cultural trip which will show you what life is like for the locals in Ibiza.
