Reserva Natural de Ses Salines, Eivissa.

A visit to Ses Salines Nature Reserve is one of the most interesting excursions on the island and it is located between Ibiza and Formentera. It has a very productive ecosystem with lots of plants and animals and it is renowned as one of the spectacular places in Ibiza.

There are two lakes in the reserve, la Laguna de s’Estany d’es Peix and la Laguna s’Estany Pudent and they are found in Formentera. This is also where you can see the island known as Bassa de s’Espalmador. Es Cavallet is where you will find white sandy beaches nearby Ses Salines and Illetes is the most famous beach on the island.

Ses Salines offers a completely different landscape, which is unbelievable at first sight. The mountains and hills are not green, nor are they brown but rather they are white.

There are around 124 different birds on the island such as herons and flamingos, as well as archaeological findings such as the talayote de Sa Talaia Joana and the poblado fenicio de Sa Caleta, which has a watch out tower and small churches.
