With 365 days of great weather, professional golf courses and spectacular settings, Gran Canaria is a great destination for some winter sun and a game of golf. With nine top golf courses located in the north-east and south of the island and all within 31 miles of each other, any time of the year is perfect for a golfing holiday in Gran Canaria.

Gran Canaria has also hosted a number of national and international golf tournaments and in 2005 it was used as the venue for the International Golf Travel Market (IGMT).

One of the most popular golf courses is the Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas, which is the oldest golf club in Spain and it is located in the north of the island. It is an 18 hole course and boasts spectacular views of the ravines and offers accommodation at its hotel. El Cortijo Club de Campo Oasis Club is another 18 hole course in the north which has been used for national and international tournaments such as the Professional Senior and Women’s Spanish Championships.

There are five courses in the south of the island. Maspalomas Golf is a popular 18 hole course which is located in one of the most popular tourist areas in Gran Canaria.
