The Crocodile Park in Gran Canaria was opened in 1988 and it was the first zoo in Gran Canaria. It was owned by the Balser Family who were asked by the local environmental authorities to look after the crocodiles in the area. Little by little the park grew until it became the public zoo.

Today, the park is home to around 300 crocodiles, monkeys, tropical fish, and it holds a parrot show and has a cactus garden. It is a great place to go for a family day out in Gran Canaria as it offers a lot of great attractions.

The park is open from Sunday to Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
