Parc de Monjuïc

The Parc de Montjuïc occupies 620 acres of land and is the perfect green area for doing sport or relaxing. There are also many monuments worth seeing within the park.

The oldest monument is Castell de Montjuïc which is today used as a military museum. Other monuments and features were added to mark the Universal Exhibition in 1929 and the Olympic Games in 1992, for example, the Font Màgica, a coloured fountain, the Royal Palace, Poble Espanyol (1929) as well as las Piscinas Picornell and the Palau Sant Jordi built in 1992. The best form of transport to Montjuïc is cable car so that you can take advantage of the view on your way up to the mountain.
