Palau Nacional, Parc de Montjuïc

The National Art Museum of Catalonia, MNAC, has a permanent collection which includes paintings, sculptures, posters, photographs and coin collections.

The museum is located in the Palau Nacional on Monjuïc Mountain and was built for the World Exhibition in 1929. Today, MNAC displays masterpieces by famous Catalan and international artists such as Zubarán, El Greco, Velásquez and Rubens.

Other popular attractions to visit which are near this museum are the Montjuïc fountains, known as La Font Màgica as a result of the show of colours and lights, and the Parc de Montjuïc.
