Carrer Moncada, 15-23

The Picasso Museum was opened in 1963 in the 13th century Palacio Aguilar and as its name suggests, the museum is dedicated entirely to Pablo Picasso’s artwork. It displays a permanent collection of more than 3,600 works of art which Picasso painted as a young artist and it also depicts his relationship with Barcelona though the collection.

The museum is the most visited museum in Barcelona and its art collection is organised in chronological order. Some of the paintings you will see in the museum are from the Madrid and Barcelona Period, the Blue Period, the Rose Period and the Picasso ceramist collection.

Apart from the permanent collection, the museum also hosts various temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
