El Camp Nou is the official stadium for one of the most famous football clubs in the world, FC Barcelona or Barça which was founded in 1899 by Hans Gamper and is renowned at both a national and international level.

Camp Nou stadium was opened in 1957 and it can hold around 98,787 spectators, thus making it the largest stadium in Europe. If you do not have the opportunity to go to a football match while you are in Barcelona you could take a guided tour of the stadium.

Included in the tour of Camp Nou is the chance to see the players’ changing rooms, to stand on the football pitch, to see the VIP lounge, the press office, the TV room, crèche and the Football Club Barcelona History Museum.

You can view the club’s trophy collection and documents retelling the club’s history, and of course there are also photos of famous players such as Kubala and Ronaldinho. The museum also displays the Futbolart Collection and many other temporary art exhibitions.
