The National Gallery of Portugal, also known as the National Museum of Ancient Art is located in Lapa, a district in Lisbon, in a beautiful 17th century palace. You will be able to admire the beautiful paintings on display which date from the 15th century to the 16th century. Opened in 1884, the collection includes paintings by Portuguese artists such as Nuna Goncalves, Lopes as well as international artists such as Cranach and El Bosco. Apart from paintings, the museum also displays sculptures, china and decorative art.
