If you are in Auckland with children, why not take them to Howick Historical Village. This living museum is located in Lloyd Elsmore Park in New Zealand and it illustrates life in 19th century New Zealand.

The village museum is a total of 7 acres and it is made up of over 30 original colonial buildings such as schools, a church, forge and a general store. Take a wander through this village and be greeted by the costumed staff so you will feel like you have stepped back in time to the 1840s. There are also various activities organised such as butter marking, school lessons and Victorian outdoor games.

Take your kids to Howick Historical Village during their stay in Auckland…they won’t be disappointed. Howick Historical Village is open every day from 10 a.m. and the last admission is at 4 p.m. It is closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day.
