Amstel, between Keizergracht and Prinsengracht canals

Amsterdam is divided into 90 islands, it has more canals than Venice and more bridges than Paris, and out of the 1,200 bridges in Amsterdam, the most famous is Skinny Bridge which was built in 1670 and is made of wood.

Skinny Bridge is renowned as the most beautiful bridge in Amsterdam and was named as such because it was so narrow that two pedestrians could not cross the bridge at the same time. And so, in 1871, the original bridge was replaced by a wider one. Many photographers, artists and couples go to this bridge which is lit up at night making it very romantic and a good place to take photographs.
