Amstelveense weg

Amsterdamse Bos is situated in the south-west of Amsterdam and is one of the many green areas in the city. It covers around 2,500 acres and is an ideal place to do sport, relax, have a picnic or barbecue or just go for a walk. It is also one of the most popular tourist attractions as visitors can hire bicycles, boats and do horse riding during the warmer months.

There are open-air theatres in the summer, a museum called Bosmuseum which explains how wood is made and a garden called Kersenblosesempark where there are hundreds of cherry trees which are very pretty in the spring. You can even taste the cheese, milk or ice-cream from the goat farm in the park.
