Amsterdam Centraal Station is located in a beautiful neo-renaissance style building which was designed in the 19th century and it is one of the main transportation hubs in Amsterdam.

The building is located on three artificial islands built on top of 8,500 blocks of wood and faces Amsterdam harbour. The back of the station faces the pier which links the city centre with the northern districts in the city.
