Amstelpark was created in 1972 to mark the garden festival and it is home to many animals, plants and trees, as well as themed gardens, such as the Japanese and Belgian gardens. The rose garden, children’s play areas, restaurants and bars are also some of the things which attract tourists to the park.

However, it is the labyrinth that is, without doubt, the most popular attraction in the garden along with the Het Glazen Huis art gallery and the windmill. It is a particularly nice park to visit if you have children as they will enjoy the mini golf, miniature train and playground areas.
