Mexico City is heaven for shopaholics with lots of different shopping malls and department stores throughout the city. Some of the most popular districts for shopping are the Zona Rosa, La Condesa and Coyoacan, not to mention the Ciudadela and Centro Artesanal Buenavista which offer all sorts of different arts and crafts from all over the country. In Ciudadela you will find belts, guitars, hammocks and typical Mexican hats in the Craftswork Center La Ciudadela.

One of the most popular markets is held in the Lagunilla and is known as the Mercado de Pulgas. This district is particularly renowned for its markets where you can sample real Mexican food, buy Mexican clothing and fruit and vegetables. Other popular Mexican craft markets are the Bazar Sábado and the Mercado de Curiosidades Mexicanas San Juan. If you want to get a good price at the markets make sure you bargain!
