Santa Fe Santa Fe was originally known as AcaxĂșchitl and is packed with modern buildings such as Calakmul, Bosques Arcos 1 and many luxury residential areas. In the south of Santa Fe you will find the Sierra de las Cruces which is at the end of the Mexican Valley. It is a forest which is home to three national parks: Los Dinamos, where you can climb basalt rocks, El Desierto de los Leones, where you will find a Carmelite convent which dates from the 16th century and the Marquesa which covers more than 4200 acres of forest.
