The main street in Mexico City is Paseo de la Reforma which is located in the Zona Rosa district and it is famous for its wide variety of shops, offices, hotels and restaurants. This street was built as a road between Palacio de Chaupultepec and the Historic Centre of the city. Some of the most symbolic buildings and monuments can be found along La Reforma, for example, the Monumento de los Héroes de la Independencia which is a tribute to the heroes of Mexican Independence and it was inaugurated in 1910.

The Zona Rosa is also renowned as being the main entertainment district in the city with lots of bars, restaurants and nightclubs, as well as shops, department stores and malls. This is also where you will find some of the most modern buildings in the city such as the Torre Mayor which has 55 floors and is the tallest building in Latin America. Some other interesting tourist attractions are the Fuente de la Diana Cazadora, the Monumento a Cuauhtémoc, which has a figure of the Aztec Emperor and the Monumento a Cristóbal Colón.

Most of the streets in the Zona Rosa have European names and the housing has a French Aristocracy design. Zona Rosa is one of the best places to go for those who love shopping and enjoying themselves in a cosmopolitan city.
