Colonia Roma and Condesa are located in the centre of Mexico City and are renowned for their art noveau and Art Deco style buildings. Although these two districts suffered a period of decline at the end of the 20th century, they are the two most cosmopolitan districts in Mexico at present and offer lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops as well as bookshops, galleries and cultural centres.

Some of the most important buildings in the Colonia Roma are the Iglesia de la Sagrada Familia and the Casa Lamm. Mexico City’s bull ring is also found in this area.

This district is located on land which belongs to the Condesa de Miravalle and it is were many gardens, tree lined streets and moderns buildings were built and still remain to this day.
