The Bosque de Chapultepec is the largest park in Mexico City and covers more than 1483 acres. There is a world of culture waiting to be discovered within this park which is home to museums, the official residence of the president of Mexico, an attraction park, lakes and a zoo.

Inside the park, you should visit Chapultepec Castle on top of Chapultepec Hill which was built in 1785 by the Spanish Viceroys. This castle houses the Mexican National History Museum which displays paintings, murals, ceramics, furniture and other objects which date from the Aztec period to today. Likewise, its prime location will enable you to capture beautiful views over Mexico City.

If you are on a family holiday you should go to Chapultepec Zoo inside the park which is one of the most important zoos in Latin America. It is home to more than 2,000 animals and more than 200 species from all over the world and is believed to be the best children’s attractions in the area. Another popular attraction at the park is the presidential residence, Los Pinos and the Children’s Museum, el Papalote as well as an attraction park called, La Feria.

The Bosque de Chapultepec is a great day out and offers plenty of interesting things to do. It is even home to one of the most famous museums in Latin America, the Museo de AntropologĂ­a.
