Patrick Street
Dublin 8

St. Patrick’s Cathedral is the biggest church and the National Church of Ireland. The cathedral was opened as a church in 1192 and was built in the area where it is believed that St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, baptised the first converted Christians.

The Gothic architecture of the building can be contrasted with the 12th century interior decor. The cathedral is also home to Ireland’s largest organ and is decorated with various statues and monuments.
