The historic centre of Athens is Plaka, a magnificent neighbourhood with enough attractions to satisfy any tourist in the area. The main street in this area is Kydatheneon which begins at Nikis Street and is just steps from the famous Syntagma Square.

Plaka is the place to visit if you want to go for a stroll in the capital. This area is packed with neoclassical buildings, restaurants, shops, major tourist attractions, such as the Ancient Agora, the Acropolis and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

The atmosphere in this area of the city is fantastic, with lots of street sellers, musicians, flower stalls and activity.
