The Red Town Hall is the name of the town hall in Berlin and it was given this name because it is made of red bricks. It was built between 1861 and 1869 by the architect Hermann Friedrich Waesemann, however, it was severely damaged during the Second World War bombings. This building is one of the city’s icons and was rebuilt during the 1950’s.
