Centre Pompidou
Place Georges Pompidou

The Centre Pompidou was opened in 1977 and is a contemporary art museum which houses a library and is open to the general public everyday except on Tuesdays and bank holidays.

The design of the building with its exposed skeleton of colour coded pipes was very creative and innovative when it was built, and today it is one of the most popular museums in Paris.

At the Pompidou Centre you will be able to see modern art, books and sculptures and it is organised into temporary exhibitions, conferences, concerts and shows. The displays are divided among the seven floors in the building and it is on the 4th and 5th floor where you can see some 1,300 pieces of modern art.
