Staroměstské náměstí

Located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge is Old Town Square, othe where assassinations, executions and revolutions took place.

This
square is always packed with tourists who come to see its famous
monuments or take part in the celebrations which are held at Christmas
and New Year
.

One of the most striking Gothic style monuments
in the square is Old Town Hall which was founded in 1338 and has an
impressive 70m tower. Other tourist attractions are the Church of Our
Lady before Týn, St. Nicolas Church, Kinský Palace, the sculpture in
honour of Jans Hus, a Czech religious reformer, and the famous
astronomical clock.
