1 Austin Terrace

Casa Loma is a mansion in Toronto which was built for the multimillionaire, Henry Mill Pellatt between 1911 and 1914. It has a total of 98 rooms and became the largest home in North America when it was finished. The city of Toronto took hold of the property in 1933 as the owner could not keep up with the maintenance costs and it was opened to the public as a museum in 1937.

The elaborately decorated suites, the secret passages and the 74m tunnel which connects the stables, the towers and the gardens are the most impressive features in the mansion. Casa Loma’s gardens are around five acres and are decorated with fountains and sculptures.
