Sydney Tower was opened in 1981 and is believed to be the safest building in the world as it was designed to withstand extreme winds and even earthquakes.

There are two levels in the tower with restaurants, a coffee lounge and an observation platform. It also acts as a telecommunications tower and it only takes 40 seconds in the lift to reach its highest floor. Alternatively you can climb the 1504 steps to reach the observation platform where you will see a panoramic view of Sydney.

If you are not afraid of heights you should try the Sydney Skywalk which involves being harnessed onto a rotating glass floored platform outside the tower thus giving you a refreshing view of Sydney-not something for the faint hearted. From this point you will be able to see the whole city, the streets and the buildings, as well as the outskirts of the city, the port and Wollongong National Park.

But the adventure does not end here. When you have seen all the impressive views of the city from the observation points, you can go to the OzTrek Theatre, an attraction which will take you on a virtual 3D adventure all over Australia.
