Darling Harbour is one of the liveliest areas in the city. It was transformed from a simple shipyard to one of the best ports in the world in the 1980s, and today it is one of the major tourist attractions in the city as it is modern, lively and has lots of entertainment to offer.

Some of the attractions are the museums, shops and restaurants which are packed with tourists during the peak seasons. Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre is the largest auditorium and conference centre in Sydney and it is located in Darling Harbour, just like Sydney Aquarium, the Chinese Garden of Friendship, designed to celebrate the bicentenary of Australia, the National Maritime Museum, dedicated to the maritime history of Australia and lastly the IMAX Theatre.
