The Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, is a bank holiday in the USA. As its name indicates, this holiday is an annual event which is celebrated on the 4 July and it commemorates the day that the USA claimed its independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and democracy was born. Independence day was declared on 4 July 1776 and it continues to be an important event on the USA calendar to this day.
