Glastonbury Festival
Glastonbury is a small town located in Somerset, England. It has become famous as it is host to the annual Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, otherwise known as one of the largest music and performance festivals in the world. Some 177,000 attended the festival in 2007 to see over 700 acts perform. Some of the most famous international acts who have taken to the stage at Glastonbury are Jay-Z, The Killers, Artics Monkeys .............
Purchase your ticket for the festival well in advance because they sell out fast. The price of the ticket includes access to the camping fields. Most people pitch a tent near the festival or performance they are most interested in. The event usually lasts a few days. This year it will take place on 24 until 28 June.
