Edinburgh

Edinburgh Castle, UKEdinburgh Castle, UK

Situated on the north-east coast of the United Kingdom at the edge of the Firth of Forth is Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The city itself is divided into 2 districts, the Old Town and the New Town, both of which have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Taking a walk through the historic centre of Edinburgh in the Old Town, is a step back in time which will enchant and astound you with its medieval architecture and narrow streets which form a maze in the city. On the other hand, the New Town was created during the 18th century and has become the most commercial area of the city, and so it is not surprising that this is where you will find most of the shops, restaurants and cafes.

Edinburgh is a charming city which is full of life. In the summer it becomes a hive of activity with the Edinburgh Festival and at Christmas it lights up with the activities organised in Princes Street Gardens. It makes the perfect destination for a weekend break or a holiday with something for everyone to enjoy.
