Café Amsterdam is located in an old 19th century factory in Eco-district in Amsterdam. The restaurant is renowned for having 22 floodlights from two of Amsterdam's football stadiums, Ajax-Stadium and Olympic Stadium.

It was opened to the public on 20 December 1996 and it offers a selection of sandwiches and other traditional Dutch dishes which can be accompanied with a bottle of wine from the menu.
