U Fleku is a museum and restaurant which shows how beer was made in the past and how it is made today. At this brewery you will be able to try typical Czech beer and food as well as take a guided tour of the factory.

The Renaissance Room is one of the most popular parts of the guided tour. It is the room were malt was dried using the hot smoke given off by burning wood.

The museum is open daily for tours during which there is a short film presentation, beer sampling and you will receive a souvenir.

The Old Jameson Distillery was built in 1780 and was founded by John Jameson. The Jameson Family believed in Sine Metu which means 'without fear' and this slogan still appears on every bottle of Jameson whiskey. The Old Jameson Distillery is considered to be the largest and fastest growing distillery in the world.

The building of the former Jameson distillery is situated in Smithfield Village in Dublin and has been reconverted into a museum. You can visit the museum today and have a guided tour which will explain the distillation process and includes a Jameson Whiskey tasting session.

Going to Dublin without trying a pint of Guinness is like going to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. If you want to find out more about how the most famous black beer in the world is made, then you should go the Guinness Storehouse.

Guinness was created by Arthur Guinness in 1759 at the St. Jame's Gate Brewery. The Guinness Storehouse is housed in what was the former fermentation room which dates back to 1904 and is where beer was fermented until 1988.

The factory and Guinness building were converted into a museum in 2000 and the factory shows the four ingredients necessary to make beer and the fermentation process. Gravity Bar is located on the 7th floor of the building and you can enjoy a pint of beer while looking at the wonderful panoramic view of Dublin city.

The Royal Mile

The Royal Mile is the street which runs from Edinburgh Castle to The Palace of Holyroodhouse, otherwise known as Holyrood Palace.

There are many tourist attractions along this street starting with Edinburgh Castle at the top of the hill, passing by Camera Obscura, the Writers' Museum and St Giles' Cathedral along the way and ending at Holyrood Palace at the bottom. Another interesting attraction along the famous mile stretch is the People's Story Museum which retells the life of Scots over the past centuries.

There are many pubs, shops and restaurants along the Royal Mile as it is the main thoroughfare in the city and this is what gives the street its traditional atmosphere.

On the 30th April, Amsterdam turns orange which is the colour representing the current monarchy. This day is known as Queen's Day, but surprisingly it does not celebrate the queen's birthday but rather that of her mother and is a holiday throughout the whole country. However, it is particularly famous in Amsterdam.

Music is played in the streets, especially in Leidseplein Square and Joordan. Children sell second-hand goods and play jokes in Vondelpark, and there are markets and open-air parties in the main streets of Amsterdam. Many people also wear orange clothing, paint their faces and hair orange and drink different coloured drinks during the festival.
