At Sydney Aquarium you will discover marine life from the South Pacific Ocean with more than 12,000 fish and marine creatures.

The aquarium was opened in 1988 and it is one of the best aquariums in the world where you will see some of the Northern and Southern Rivers, the Southern Oceans with penguins and seals and the Northern Ocean with the Great Barrier Reef with is the largest coral reef in the world.

The aquarium is designed in the form of a huge wave and inside you will see lots of creatures that you would never before have been able to see. The complex has three of the largest tanks in the world where you will see sharks which weigh around 47 stone and 3m in length.

Lumphini Park

Lumphini Park, also referred to as Lumpini Park is the oldest, largest and most popular public park in Bangkok which was created in the 1920s by King Rama IV. It is a quiet area which covers 140 acres of land and is the best place to go if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city.

Experience Tai Chi by taking a walk through the park at the break of dawn and watch the locals carry out this morning ritual, or hire a boat and soak up the sun on the lake in the middle of Lumphini Park.

If you are in Bangkok during the winter you should go and see the annual Concert in the Park which is held in Lumphini Park and features classical music by the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.

Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo was founded in 1950 by Utal Youngprapakorn and it is home to more than 60,000 crocodiles, elephants, tigers, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, snakes, camels and birds.

One of the things to watch out for at the zoo is Yai, the largest crocodile in the world which measures 6m and weighs about 16 stone. There is also a crocodile wrestling show held every hour and an elephant show.

If you want to take home something to remember your visit you should go to the zoo shop where you can purchase various crocodile skin souvenirs.

Toronto Zoo is the main zoo in Canada and is set in the Rouge Valley. There are more than 5,000 animals, 460 different species and it covers around 709 acres of land making it one of the largest zoos in the world, welcoming over one million visitors each year.

There are other attractions at the zoo, apart from the animals such as the Zellers Discovery Zone which is a small zoo for children, the Splash Island which is a water park, and the Waterside Theatre.

The complex also has various restaurants and souvenir shops.

Delhi Zoo is one of the most important in India, covering around 240 acres and being home to more than 1,700 animals from all over the world. Any animal imaginable lives in this zoo, from chimpanzees to hippopotamus, monkeys, buffalos, zebras, lions and white tigers, and there is even a special area for reptiles. However, the stars of the show are the elephants who always attract the largest audience for their daily elephant march.

Delhi Zoo is a great family day out with lots of picnic areas where you can enjoy eating in the sunshine. Something to watch out for is the Kos Minar pillar which was built at the entrance of the zoo by the Mughal Emperor Jehagir.

The official residence of the Indian President is surrounded by the famous Mughal gardens, which were designed by Edwin Lutyens at the start of the 20th century. The layout of the garden has European and Mughal features, for example there are British style flower beds, lawns and hedges which can be contrasted with the Mughal style canals, fountains and patios.

These gardens cover 15 acres of land and are divided into three areas. At the entrance there is a rectangular garden located behind the President's official residence, Rashtrapati Bhavan, this leads to another large garden which links to a circular garden, known as the Butterfly Garden.

This is a beautiful place to visit as there are lots of flowers such as Japanese carnations, dahlias and 250 varieties of roses.

Aquaria is home to lots of different sea creatures from all over the world. The complex is divided into different areas. In the rainforest for example, there are piranhas and giant catfish. Or in the Tropical Sea area you can see how sharks are fed and walk through a transparent tunnel under the tank and observe the underworld. Some of the most popular marine creatures in the tank are the starfish, sea anemones, corals and clownfish. The last area is the Nordic waters in which you can see what life is like under the sea in Northern Europe.

Every 30 minutes there is a free ferry service between Battery Park and Staten Island. It was designed for workers who live on the island but work in Manhattan and it has become a very popular tourist attraction as there are many things to see, such as the Garibaldi Mucci museum or the Staten Island Museum which explains the history of the island. There is also a zoo, children's museum, Botanic Garden and esplanade.

You can also visit the Historic Richmond Town where you can discover what American life is like today and what it was like during the colonial period. This town covers 25 acres and has 15 restored buildings which are used as houses, shops and a museum.
