The&lt;strong&gt; Museum of Contemporary Art&lt;/strong&gt; was opened in 1991 and is located in the Central Business District of Sydney. It is the only museum in Australia which displays, interprets and shows contemporary art from all over the world.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
The J W Power Collection is the largest collection within the museum. John Power had kept his personal collection of art in the&lt;strong&gt; University of Sydney&lt;/strong&gt; so that it could be used by the students and it later went on to create the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
The museum houses around &lt;strong&gt;7,000 objects&lt;/strong&gt; and has various permanent collections displaying works by Australian artists and other famous artists from all over the world. There are also &lt;strong&gt;sculptures, post-modern art, Aboriginal art and temporary exhibitions.&lt;/strong&gt;

The Art Gallery of Ontario is located in the Chinatown in Toronto and is one of the largest art museums in North America which was founded in 1900. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
The permanent collection comprises of 40,000 works of art and around 40% of this is Canadian art. This gallery is famous as it houses the largest art collection by the British sculptor Henry Moore and it also has a large collection of European art, by artists as famous as Rodin, Cézanne, Picasso and Van Gogh.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
The gallery is currently being refurbished and should be reopened in Autumn 2008.

The World Culture Galleries includes a collection of around 2,500 objects from China which are more than 7,000 years old and there are also Egyptian mummies, Prehistoric ceramics and Buddhist Art.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Everyone will enjoy the museum with the National History Galleries, Hands-on Galleries, Exhibition Space and much more. There is even an a area designed for children, called the Discovery Gallery which is an interactive area where they can enjoy hands-on activities.

The oldest piece at the Guggenheim museum is a landscape by Camille Pissarro which dates back to 1867. There are guided tours of the museum or you can book an exclusive visit when it is closed to the general public. Apart from the galleries, there is a shop and coffee shop.

The Egyptian collection is the most popular in the museum and it displays hieroglyphs, mummies and household utensils all divided into various rooms and passages forming a collection of 36,000 objects. One of the most famous pieces in the museum is the Egyptian temple of Dendur which was brought to the museum stone by stone.

It shows how life was in Sweden at different points in history through handmade objects, photographs and traditional food.

The 700 year old &lt;strong&gt;Stockholm Cathedral&lt;/strong&gt;, Storkyrkan, was the first church built in the city and was originally used for royal wedding and coronations. The elaborate interior of the building is decorated with paintings and the royal-box pews where designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger. One of the most renowned features in the building is the &lt;strong&gt;statue of St. George and the Dragon&lt;/strong&gt;, which was sculpted by the Berndt Notke. The painting of the Last Judgement and the seven-branched candle stick add to the beauty and serenity of the building.

Today, this building hosts a collection of documents, manuscripts, letters, photos and instruments relating to Mozart&#039;s period in Prague. The visit includes a tour of the gardens where you will see a bust of Mozart. The house remains as it was when it was built and it is used to host concerts.
