El Mocambo was initially opened as a restaurant in 1940 before being transformed into one of the first licensed establishments in Toronto. This venue is located within minutes of the University of Toronto and it plays hip hop, reggae, funk, jazz and rock. There are three floors to the club, two stages used for live performances and lots of dance space.
