Bistro Ruby & Grill Ruby

Have been many times to Grill Ruby and have always enjoyed it there. Thought I would try the Bistro this time. What started off as an enjoyable evening turned quite sour at the end due to the incompetence of the waitress. I had taken a friend from out of town there to show Gamla Stan and its nice vibe. Instead the waitress put a damper on that.

What happened!? The waitress was very nice to start off with until the restaurant filled up. The more it filled up the more her tone got unpleasant and condescending. When we wanted to pay for the bill, we put both our credit cards down to split it 50-50. When she came back with the receipts, we were thoroughly confused and asked for an explanation. In a snippity tone, she took a pen out and circled the first receipt which showed 95% of the bill, then circled the second receipt which showed 5% of the bill. We had asked to divide it equally, in its place was a 95-5 divide. Instead of apologising for her mistake, she proceeds in a very unpleasant tone to ask us to transfer the money into each other's account. So in fact, she wanted us to resolve her mistake which was first of all just plain rude, and second of all, my friend and I don't live in the same country. We asked her to redo it and when she came back with the updated receipts, she did not leave a pen for us to sign. She proceeds to then make us wait another couple of minutes. By this time, we had found our own pen and left the restaurant.
All I can say, that service was terrible and a mistake that could have been redeemed was made worse by her attitude.If she had apologised from the beginning and not had such a tone, we would have not batted an eyelid.
Final comment: Don't go to Bistro Ruby!
