Barcelona’s Mediterranean climate brings warm, dry summers and cool winters. The average annual rainfall is 90 days per year with spring and autumn being the wettest periods. Barcelona is also renowned for its summer thunderstorms which can be intense but they do not normally last very long.

Due to its proximity to the sea, Barcelona does not experience great fluctuations to its temperature which is usually very pleasant throughout the year. The average temperature ranges between 12C and 16C, although there is a clear contrast between the 0C in winter and the 30C in summer.
