There are two events you must not miss if you visit Amsterdam in the spring. Firstly, there is an annual tulip exhibition between March and May in Keukenhof which is a 74 acre garden also referred to as the Garden of Europe. It is the largest garden in the world and is used by people from all over the Netherlands and Europe to grow tulips. The show is held near Lisse, a town south of Amsterdam.

The second event is National Windmill Day which is celebrated throughout the Netherlands in May. On this day, it is the tradition to visit the windmills and learn how they work.
